While not much of a bend, this smooth and naturally contrasted egg from Ron's workshop in Eastern Tennessee has just enough to be graceful with such a tall bowl. Maybe just a hair too wide for rubbed straight virginia, the considerably sized chamber is cylindrical and can certainly handle a great flake of any variety. The grain is dense and well oriented, but despite the smooth finish there are some natural blemishes among the striations of this pale puffer proving that a perfectly drawing briar doesn't need a perfect cloak to be beautiful or a great smoker.
