Anyway, the point is that they have been making Single Malt Whisky here for a long time. Famously, they say the Glengoyne distilling process takes longer than any other in Scotland in order to deliver their \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eunique richness\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e and\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e character\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGlengoyne 15 Year Old Single Malt\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e has an interesting twist to its story. The aging formula is straight forward — \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003efifteen years\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e in a combination of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eex-Bourbon\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eex-Sherry\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, and \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003erefill\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e casks. But the twist comes at the beginning where the malted barley is\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e air dried\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e. Not peat, no burners, no gas, just air. That process is a LOT slower then modern powered drying machines or any sort. But thats the point.
